From Brokeness to Purpose
Our Origin Story
Monica received the Purpose Driven Life book from her biological mother, Sheila Frazer. She gathered some peers to commit to reading the book together as the book suggested.
What started as a simple book club turned into something far greater; a sacred space where people could come together to heal, grow, and rediscover who God created them to be.
Out of that space, the Purpose Driven Ladiez Inc. was founded in 2008 inside the home of our Founder in Staten Island, NY. It was Incorporated in officially established in 2017 in the state of NY. It expanded to a Global Network in 2022. Built on the belief that God called us to live a life purpose filled and without it there is no meaning to life.
In a season marked by abuse, homelessness, heartbreak and deep questions about life, and identity, our Founder Monica Hurd discovered a truth that would change everything; Purpose is the lifeline to resilience and God called didn't call us to do life alone, he desired evolving community.
Monica embarked on a personal journey to uncover the meaning behind her survival and in a search for more than the mundane routine of life busyness. Her journey revealed that purpose doesn't wait for your healing, purpose simply requires obedience to God and a willing heart.
Because when you discover your purpose, you don't just live; you lead.
Our Mission
Purpose Driven Network is committed to empowering individuals with the word of God to overcome various trauma and mental health struggles-such as depression, anxiety and suicidal ideations.
PDN uses therapeutic recreation, faith-based coaching, and mental health education to help individual's break free from toxic environments, trauma, depression, uninformed decision making and stagnating cycles. We don't just believe in healing, we believe in purpose being the very tool God uses to restore, renew and navigate life transitions.
Through our programs, workshops, and community engagement, PDN exists to help you walk in your God-given identity with confidence, clarity and conviction. No more performing. No more pretending. Just real people, doing real healing, for a real purpose.
Our group therapy sessions, discipleship classes, outreach initiates, faith-based healing sessions, and intentional personal growth assessments, we equip people to transform their pain into purpose, build resilience and walk boldly in their identity.
Our Mission is to create a community where purpose restores hope, ignites confidence and fuels lasting change. Today, we continue to grow, expand, and serve with one mission in mind;
To build a network of healed and whole individuals who know their purpose, serve their communities, and empower their families to do the same.
Vision
Our Vision is to help individuals to identify ways to integrate purpose in their lives to decrease mental challenges, navigate life transitions successfully and break trauma induced cycles that lead to homelessness, bad habits and family dysfunction.
PDN creates global communities where individuals embrace their God-given purpose, experience spiritual, mental and emotional healing, that impacts their homes, workplaces, and communities through faith-centered transformation.
